Our Perspective on AI in Education
Education is always changing. The classroom feels different than ever before. As educators, we feel this shift. There are a lot of new aspects to teaching: gamification, STEAM, blended learning, experiential learning, and so on. Integrating AI in the classroom is the biggest new trend. This one is here to stay, and will change teaching forever.
AI is probably one of the most heavily debated topics in education right now. We’ve heard a wide spectrum of commentary from teachers on this topic, and we wanted to share how we are approaching AI in education while building Worksheet Playground.
We hear from many teachers who are skeptical of adopting AI tools. “It’s going to replace me,” is a common phrase we hear. Or, “I don’t know what I can and can’t trust.”
And we hear you. You should be skeptical — AI is a powerful tool. If used incorrectly, it can hinder the learning experience for students, and impact your reputation as a teacher.
But, the role of AI is not to replace the teacher; rather, it's here to enhance the educational experience for both teachers and students.
